T he dating game has changed. Who has the time to hang out at the bar all day to get a date now? However, what if you look at it this way: Sometimes, stars in the sky are scattered. But, what if you have the power to align them together by finding two lovers and helping them see their path ahead together?

Look around you. Do you think you have it in you to spark romance between two of your pals and spread endless good vibes? Well, if yes, then learn how to set up friends.

Acquire Consent From Both Parties

If you see single friends, it is better not to assume they are not content with their lives. You can have the purest feelings in your heart, but if someone is not looking for love, you should not ambush them.

So, unless someone reaches out to you or blatantly announces that they are sick of being single, ask them if you have their permission to find a perfect match for them.

Do not waste your time with the next few steps if you don’t have permission from both of your friends before proceeding further!

Go Through You Friend’s List

Sometimes it is hard to think of names from the top of your head. It’s okay. It’s the 21st century — you don’t have to memorize everything. Just swipe your cellphones open and go through your single friend’s list.

See if anyone out there would be a perfect match for your friend. See if the other friend is also open to being set up by you!

See Compatibility Based On Their History

Breakups hurt! Let’s accept that. However, some people move on quicker than others, while others dwell on the reasons for a long time. Therefore, before setting up two friends, make sure that neither of them is stuck in overcomplicated situations.

You’re looking to give your pals a chance to begin a happy start. But, of course, this is only possible if neither of them is stuck in the past!

Compare Preferences

Before finalizing the date, make sure that you see their compatibility. If the only common thing between your two friends is their single status, things may head South super soon. So, dig deeper and find out if the two of them have common interests, pet peeves, favorites, etc.

Don’t Beat Around The Bush

Now that you have permission and belief in your cupid skills— get to the point. There is no point in going a long way. Simply introduce your two pals and set a date for the big day. Don’t try to make them meet informally in a social event as it can make things really awkward.

Give Your Version

Remember, your friends may not know each other, but they know you. And, most importantly, they trust you. So, make sure that you trust both of them with your own version of the opposite friend. Let them know what they are signing up for.

You can call yourself a double-sided wing person as you’ll have to find a way to gas up your friend while also being honest!

Choose A Perfect Venue

Now that the stars have been aligned, you just need to set up a perfect venue for your friend’s first date. It should be a place where both of them would be comfortable and get to relish their first date! Try to avoid loud spaces, as studies show they can induce anxiety. So, pick a lowkey spot!

Don’t Have Unfair Expectations

Remember, your job was to guide your friends in a direction gently. Don’t start writing their wedding toasts just yet. Be patient to see if their chemistry would hit off before beginning to think of what their kids would call you.

Moreover, if you relay that you’re keeping high expectations from a meet and greet, it might make your buddies feel a little under pressure. So, try to keep your excitement on a low.

Make Sure You’re 100% On Board.

Once you’ve read this all, don’t proceed with taking any action unless you’re 100% sure you’re on board. If you think your two companions dating would negatively affect your life in the future, then it is best that you sit this one down.

If you have any romantic feelings for a friend, don’t try to hook them up with another friend to drown your feelings! It is unfair. However, if you’re good with rest — let’s officially launch the love season!

Once you learn how to set up friends, you will also learn how to enjoy attention from your friends. But, to be honest, seeing two people happy is rewarding, and knowing that you caused it, might also give you a quick release of serotonin.
